On the morning of December 7, 1941, aircraft and submarines of the Imperial Japanese Navy conducted a surprise attack on the United States under the command of Vice Admiral Nagumo Chuichi. This surprise attack is also known as the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the Battle of Pearl Harbor but, most generally, Attack on Pearl Harbor or simply Pearl Harbor. This attack brought the United States into World War II scene. At 06:00 local time on December 8, six Japanese carriers launched a first wave of 181 planes composed of torpedo bombers, dive-bomber, bomber and fighter planes horizontal. Japan attacked U.S. ships and military installations at 07:53 local time. They attacked military LT at the same time they attacked the fleet anchored at Pearl Harbor.
